Moving With Mantra - A Yoga and Chant Practice

A Practice combining Asana and Vedic Chant.

This class will incorporate asana and mantra together using the Mahabhutas (great elements) – earth, water, fire, air and space.
These auspicious mantras honour the elements in our human bodies and invoke health and harmony via the resonance of sound.

Practising yoga whilst incorporating sound requires particular concentration and stamina but has a strong cleansing effect on the energetic system, moving prana into the nadis (energetic channels).
The practice can become deeply focused and meditative.
No chant experience is necessary.

The first 15 minutes of practice will be spent learning the simple mantras whilst seated, then we will bring them onto the mat as we move.
An experience to uplift, combining with other voices!
