You won’t want to miss this LIVE stand up comedy event featuring three talented and hilarious comics.
Headliner: Catherine Maloney, a Tampa Bay-based comedian known for her appearances on Comedy Central, Comedy Time, and Sling TV, may seem like your typical hardworking mom at first glance. However, Maloney is anything but typical. She has a knack for finding teachable moments in the show Snapped, has claimed victory in the Biggest Jerk Comedy Contest, 2018 Creative Loafing’s Best Stand Up Comedian Winner, and entertains audiences at clubs and colleges across the nation with her sharp stand-up comedy.
Originally from New York, Maloney infuses her performances with sarcastic humor that touches on relatable topics such as financial struggles, parenting, and relationships – both her own and those of her audience members. No one is safe from her comedic observations, as she thrives on engaging with her audience to create spontaneous and uproarious moments during her shows.
Maloney has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Jo Koy, Damon Wayans, Michael Rapaport, Tom Cotter, Colin Quinn, Kevin Nealon, Gary Owen, and Tom Green. She has earned a reputation as a crowd-pleaser in her own right, delivering bold and unapologetic humor that resonates with audiences nationwide.
In addition to her stand-up performances, Maloney is a regular fixture at The Crack Up Cancer Fundraiser Series, with notable appearances at The Straz. Jo Koy plucked her out of the audience like she was Courtney Cox at a Bruce Springsteen Concert to perform a Surprise Guest Performance at sold out show at the Tampa Theatre. She can also be heard as a frequent contributing comedian on The Johnny B on 102.5 The Bone.
With her unique blend of wit, charm, and fearlessness, Catherine Maloney continues to captivate audiences and solidify her status as a rising star in the world of comedy.
Feature: Ricky Hicken is a born and raised Floridian from the small town of Callahan. Ricky dropped out of college at the age of 19, and walked away from two athletic scholarships. Now, a full-time single father to two dudes, Ricky tells dad jokes you can only tell at work if you’re self employed. “Funny”, “pretty strange”, and “I can’t believe he said a couple of the things he did up there” are just some things people have said about his comedy. He was Co-host of the Curry Chicken Podcast, and has worked with some great comedians like Robert Kelly, Lynne Koplitz, Joe Machi, Steve Byrne, Doug Benson, and Harland Williams!
Host: Amanda Hoffman is a fresh faced comedian from Tampa. She’s shared the stage with Shane Torres, Jessica Michelle Singleton, and KC Shornima. When Amanda isn’t sharing stories about her family, museum job and relationships, you can find her rewatching 2002’s live-action Scooby Doo.
