Join us at the Webber Gallery on Monday, October 6, from 12:30–1:30 PM for a special artist talk featuring Gainesville artist Aurora Pavlish-Carpenter, whose work Fertile Ground is part of our current exhibition, The Gap Between Art and Life!
During her talk, Aurora will discuss the subject, form, and content of her artwork—offering insight into how she approaches her creative process and develops ideas. She may also touch on her featured piece in the exhibition, sharing background on its inspiration, materials, and meaning.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from a practicing artist about the ways concept and craft come together in her work. Students, artists, and community members alike are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and engage in an open conversation about art-making and expression.
This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
