The Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources - Office of Conservation will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on the Draft Permit for ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions Onshore’s Class V Stratigraphic Test Well in Allen Parish.
At this hearing, officials will provide an opportunity for community members to present testimony, facts, or comments regarding the proposed permit for the Mockingbird IZM No. 001 well, which will be used to collect geotechnical data.
Key Information:
• ExxonMobil plans to drill the well to 7,480 feet below ground level for geotechnical cores, fluid samples, pressure measurements, and formation injectivity testing.
• The base of the underground source of drinking water in this area is approximately 2,788 feet below ground level.
• The public comment period remains open until May 1, 2025.
