About the film: runtime 2 hours 5 minutes. PG
For generations, the Vikings of the isle of Berk have been at war with the dragons. Hiccup, the keen but overlooked son of the revered Chieftain Stoick, shoots down a rare Night Fury dragon in an effort to prove himself. But when he chooses to spare its life, this act of compassion leads to him befriending the dragon, who he calls Toothless.
From this unlikely bond, Hiccup discovers the true nature of dragon behaviour, challenging the very foundations of Viking society, even as Stoick seeks to destroy the dragons once and for all. But when an ancient threat awakens that endangers both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup and Toothless’s friendship will be key to saving them all.
Strap on and soar into the sky for this CGI and live-action remake of 2010’s epic animated adventure about friendship, courage, and destiny.
