Hiking Adventure: Joshua Creek (Local & Easy)

Hi friends!

It's been a little while since I posted a local hike in Oakville. For ages, I have been dying to introduce the group to the lovely trail of Joshua Creek. I just know it will be a community favourite given its serene, picturesque, and peaceful nature, with easy terrain that is close to home, yet feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the suburbs.

This hike will check all the boxes:
- Easy, flat mixed terrain suitable for people of all ages and abilities, and suitable for pets
- A distance of 7 km at a relaxed, moderate pace for a good workout that doesn't feel like work
- Plenty of free parking
- Not busy, beautiful, and peaceful, so you don't even feel like you're in the suburbs
- A great place to practice meditation, connect with yourself, with nature, and with your community
- A leash-free dog park and kids' playground is nearby
- Washrooms are inside the community centre

What to bring:
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Snacks
- Insect repellent
- Comfortable shoes with good grip
