This Saturday, Melo Melo hosts its first psychedelic talk, from 6-8pm with speakers AshEL Seasunz, Ray Gil Jr., and Madaly Love. Facilitated by Valentino Wolf.
This groundbreaking panel explores the revolutionary intersection of ancestral medicine, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and community-led healing in addressing the interconnected crises of incarceration, homelessness, and addiction.
Drawing from diverse cultural traditions and social justice work, panelists will share how indigenous plant medicines, classical psychedelics (psilocybin, MDMA, LSD), and emerging compounds are being reclaimed and integrated into grassroots detox and recovery models.

Madaly Love:
Madaly Love (they/them) is a curanderx, recovery guide, and devoted student of the sacred — born in LA and rooted in the Bay since 2012. With ancestral ties to the Chichimec, Nahua-Otomi, and Purépecha peoples, Madaly walks a path that weaves ancestral wisdom with modern recovery.
Plant medicines, especially cacao, have been central to their healing since sobriety began in 2017. In deep devotion to the cacao spirit, the land, and the Mayan cosmovision, Madaly has shared this heart medicine in sacred circles with thousands across the U.S.
Their work is grounded in trauma-informed care, ancestral reverence, and collective liberation. As a social justice advocate, they’re passionate about land sovereignty, immigrant rights, dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline, and disability justice — holding space for remembrance, reclamation, and radical healing. @madaly.love
