Lindy by the Lake is and always will be free to the public — but it takes a village to keep it that way!
This special edition is a fundraiser to help us keep the music playing, the gear running, and our community growing. Your donations go toward future events, audio equipment upkeep, and supporting the folks behind the scenes (like storage heroes and sound wranglers!)

Summer Vintage Garden Party Attire Encouraged
We warmly invite you to dress in the spirit of a bygone era. Light summer fabrics and vintage styles from the 1920s to the 1950s are perfect for a swing-era afternoon in the garden. Linen suits, cotton sundresses, straw hats, parasols, suspenders, and bow ties are all charming touches. That said, there’s no dress code. Come as you are, or let the past inspire your look. Full afternoon of music and dancing:
• 12–1 PM: Set-up, volunteers needed, contact @Aurelia Santos
• 1:00 PM: Doors Open, Taster Class with Zach and Catie
• 1–2 PM: DJ’d swing dance + self-guided mansion tour, early picnickers welcome
• 2–2:45 PM: live music on the veranda
• 2:45–3:15 PM: Celebration, Jam, Shim Sham + DJ’d music, Special performance by the Breakaway Lindy Team
• 3:15–4 PM: live music on the veranda
• 4–5 PM: DJ’d swing music by to close it out strong

Swing dance is about community, meeting people, and dancing with friends and strangers alike in a beautiful outdoor setting with fun swing music from the '30s and '40s.

Lindy by the Lake is a super low-key, no-fuss gathering of Lindy Hoppers to make music and dance in an all-inclusive, all-ages, all-skill-level environment.
