With Juneteenth now recognized as a federal holiday, we are excited to once again bring the community together for a powerful day of reflection, celebration, and unity. Join us on Saturday, June 21, 2025, on Brockhurst Street in Oakland, CA (between Market Street and San

Pablo Avenue) as we embrace this year’s theme: "We Are Tapping Into The Ancestors’ Wisdom and Having the Freedom to Express Ourselves!"

This theme is a call to honor the knowledge, resilience, and creativity passed down through generations while embracing the freedom to express our unique identities, cultures, and traditions.

Juneteenth is not just a day for the African American community; it is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to reflect on our shared history, celebrate cultural expression, and strengthen the bonds of diversity that make Oakland and the Greater Bay Area vibrant and inclusive.

By tapping into ancestral wisdom, we recognize that all cultures have rich traditions, stories, and legacies that contribute to a collective path toward justice, healing, and empowerment.

For 17 years, the Oakland Juneteenth Celebration has been the culminating event of Bay Area Juneteenth festivities, bringing together thousands from Oakland and beyond.

This annual gathering continues to affirm the brilliance, resilience, and love of African Diaspora communities while fostering unity among all people.

By sharing our histories, talents, arts, and music, we create a space where diverse cultures can come together to celebrate freedom, self-expression, and community empowerment.

• Local Vendors, Community Resources
• MADE*MEN Bay Area’s Finest Motorcycle Club
• HOMIES Empowerment (Freedom Booth)
• Health Zone: Mental Wellness, Health Screenings, and Resources
• Exhibits, Gallery Walk
• Vendors Fashion Show
• Financial Literacy Workshops
• Little Brilliant Minds/Youth Empowerment Zones, HHREC, YAB, TAY

We invite local organizations, artists, and vendors from all backgrounds to take part in this celebration of freedom, culture, and community unity.

As one of the most diverse cities in the Bay Area, Oakland is a beacon of multicultural collaboration, and Juneteenth serves as a moment to embrace our collective histories while looking toward a future of equity, expression, and empowerment.

If you would like to secure a vending space or host a resource table(s), please complete the attached forms and return them by June 6, 2025, for “Early Bird Special” or by June 10, 2025, for Regular Price.

Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis upon receipt of application, fees, and permits where applicable. Once all documents are received and approved you will receive confirmation via eMail, text or telephone call, of your space at this year’s Oakland Annual Juneteenth Celebration & Street Festival, Freedom Day.
