This August 20th, Martha’s Vineyard becomes a launchpad for change. Join us for the Girls On Fire: Spark to Pitch competition, where a select cohort of Black girl scholars (grades 8–12) pitch bold solutions to fight food insecurity. Up to $250 in prizes—and the opportunity to gift $1,000 to a local food justice org—are at stake.

Inspired by RIISE and the Brown Butter Collective, Girls On Fire's summer series empowers girls to dream big and act bigger. Virtual Spark Sessions and mentorship from educators and thought-leaders build up to this transformative in-person pitch. Not on the island? We’ve got four virtual finalist spots, too.
