Tumbarinos di Gavoi (IT)
🇸🇮 Sardinski sekstet godcev je povsem unikaten in avtentičen etno bend, ki v naturalističnem slogu poustvarja vrhunsko ljudsko slavje domačih krajev. V njihovi glasbi se medsebojno prepletajo ekstatično vzdušje, domišljija, arhetipski vzorci in ruralni patos. Tumbarinos so zamaskirani pustarji – osrednje figure lokalnega karnevala –, ki preigravajo na starodavna, ročno izdelana glasbila iz kozjih in ovčjih kož. Skozi mestno središče vodijo procesije, polne hrupa in ritma, ter s truščem slavijo prebujenje pomladi.
🇮🇹 Il sestetto sardo è un gruppo etno assolutamente unico e autentico, che in stile naturalistico rievoca le celebrazioni popolari di Gavoi. Nella loro musica si intrecciano atmosfere estatiche, immaginazione, archetipi ancestrali e pathos rurale. I Tumbarinos sono maschere carnevalesche – figure centrali del carnevale locale – che suonano strumenti antichi, fatti a mano con pelli di capra e pecora. Guidano processioni attraverso il centro cittadino, in un tripudio di rumori e ritmi, celebrando con fragore il risveglio della primavera.
🇬🇧 The Sardinian sextet is a truly unique and authentic ethno band that, in a naturalistic style, recreates the vibrant folk celebrations of their homeland. Their music weaves together ecstatic atmospheres, imagination, archetypal patterns, and rural pathos. The Tumbarinos are masked carnival figures — the central characters of the local festivities — who play ancient, handcrafted instruments made from goat and sheep hides. They lead processions through the town center, filling the streets with noise and rhythm, and joyfully celebrate the awakening of spring.

Roberto Fonseca Quartet (CU)
🇸🇮 Roberto Fonseca je pianist, pevec, multiinstrumentalist in producent iz umetniške kubanske družine. Že pri 15 letih je nastopil na festivalu Havana Jazz, kasneje pa ga tudi vodil. Po študiju kompozicije je izdal album Tiene que ver in se pridružil legendarni zasedbi Buena Vista Social Club. Sodeloval je z ikonami, kot so Ibrahim Ferrer, Omara Portuondo, Fatoumata Diawara in številnimi drugimi. Njegova avtorska glasba združuje kubansko tradicijo in sodobne žanre. Njegov aktualni projekt La Gran Diversión je posvečen zlati dobi kubanske glasbe.
🇮🇹 Roberto Fonseca è pianista, cantante, polistrumentista e produttore, proveniente da una famiglia artistica cubana. Già a 15 anni si è esibito al Festival Jazz dell’Avana, che in seguito ha anche diretto. Dopo gli studi di composizione ha pubblicato l’album Tiene que ver ed è entrato a far parte del Buena Vista Social Club. Ha collaborato con Ibrahim Ferrer, Omara Portuondo, Fatoumata Diawara e molti altri. La sua musica unisce la tradizione cubana ai generi contemporanei. Il suo attuale progetto La Gran Diversión è dedicato all’età d’oro della musica cubana.
🇬🇧 Roberto Fonseca is a pianist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from an artistic Cuban family. At the age of 15, he performed at the Havana Jazz Festival and later directed it. After studying composition, he released the album Tiene que ver and joined the legendary Buena Vista Social Club. He has worked with Ibrahim Ferrer, Omar Portuondo, Fatoumata Diawara and many others. His music combines Cuban tradition and contemporary genres. His current project, La Gran Diversión, is dedicated to the golden age of Cuban music.
