Summer Wildlife Walks
Summer is here! With the longer days we are switching to evening walks over the summer. Our first Wednesday Wildlife Walk is:

18th June 2025, 6-8pm at Stanton Tip, Cinderhill

Stanton Tip is the old spoil heap of the closed Babbington (Cinderhill) Colliery, and has become a wildlife haven, with skylarks, butterflies and a great range of grassland and woodland plants. Part of the site is now the Stanton Pond and Pasture wildlife site. The walk will be at a slow pace and approximately 2 miles long. Strong footwear is advisable, as there are steep slopes and earth paths.
