Join us for a free screening of Yardie (2018), directed by Idris Elba, a gripping crime drama that follows Dennis "D" Campbell, a young Jamaican navigating grief, revenge, and belonging. After witnessing his brother’s murder in Kingston, D is sent to 1980s London, where he becomes entangled in gang rivalries while trying to reconnect with his estranged partner and daughter.
Set against a backdrop of reggae, violence, and migration, Yardie explores the emotional impact of diaspora, and how identity, loss, and home are carried across borders. It’s a powerful story about healing, heritage, and breaking free from the past.
Come early at 5 PM for our Community Kitchen! We are excited to present an evening of Jamaican food for you to enjoy.
