Join us at the Chaos Casino!
A variety show packed with true stories, audience games, and spoken word poetry with a loop station twist, raising awareness of the negative impacts of gambling industry practices.
Inspired by two years of night shifts working as a croupier and highlighting the social issues of gambling culture, through the eyes of a writer from Nottingham, Chaos Casino will sweep you along on a conveyor belt of increasingly overwhelming antics, exploring the line between innocent play and gambling harm.
Bridie Squires is a poet, playwright, producer and performance artist from Nottingham and an Amplify Associate of Nottingham Playhouse. Previously journalist and editor at LeftLion Magazine, she was appointed Nottingham Trent University’s first Writer in Residence in 2019, and founded Nottingham spoken-word collective GOBS in 2020.
Chaos Casino is supported by GamLEARN, a lived experience network for people who have been impacted directly or indirectly from gambling related harm.
