Hyde Park Church Collective Presents: An Evening with Dr. Dan McClellan author of The Bible Says So: What We Get Right (and Wrong) about Scripture’s Most Controversial Issues
Join us on Wednesday, September 17 at 6:30 pm, for a light supper followed by a talk with guest Dan McClellan at 7:00 pm.
For our second event, presented by The Hyde Park Church Collective, a collaboration among four local Christian congregations, we are honored to welcome Dr. Dan McClellan, biblical scholar and bestselling author, for an evening of insight, clarity, and faith-rooted dialogue. Dr. McClellan’s talk, “The Bible Says So: What We Get Right (and Wrong) about Scripture’s Most Controversial Issues,” will explore how Scripture has been interpreted and misinterpreted in conversations about gender, sexuality, justice, politics, and more.
This is a powerful opportunity to reflect together on how to read the Bible faithfully in a modern context. The evening begins with a light dinner at 6:30 pm in the Great Hall, followed by the presentation at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
