"We Grow Community" is an intergenerational growing project at Marlpit Community Gardens!
All ages are welcome, solo folk, families, those with lots of growing experience, those with little, those with none. (Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.)
This project focuses on bringing people of all ages together, in nature, to take an active part in learning about and getting stuck into growing food. We want to help people feel more confident about growing food...and enjoy it! And together it's really fun!
We will meet twice a month to learn new skills and share skills amongst us with a focus on
🌱bed preparation
🌱seed sowing and saving
🌱soil health
🌱growing food
🌱harvesting
🌱composting and tool use
There will be projects spread across 3 different plots in the beautiful gardens to get involved in. (We have a raised bed which can be accessed by sitting on a chair.)
We'll help you learn how to plan and maintain your own growing space, no matter how small it is...it can be productive!
Here are all the dates for your diaries! You can come to as many as you like. Booking is essential so please do get in touch with us so we know you are coming :)
10th & 30th of March
6th & 28th of April
10th May
All sessions are 10am - 12:30pm.
We really hope you will be able to join us and grow food and community together! 😍
Thanks to the Norfolk Community Foundation and their "Greening Communities" fund we have been able to start this group and thanks to the People's Postcode Lottery Trust we are able to continue these sessions!
