Mini Beasts in the East

SUMMER HALF TERM ACTIVITY
Enjoy a bug-tastic Bank Holiday with Norwich Science Festival and the Friends of Waterloo Park!
The team are bringing a selection of minibeast-themed, family-friendly activities to Waterloo Park for one day only – all completely free.
You’ll become a scientist, using microscopes to search for critters that live in the soil and using DNA to work out which creepy crawlies will help to grow big, healthy potato crops. You’ll also have the chance to explore some of the current farming research being done in Norwich, as well as make your own DNA bracelet and have a go at sequencing DNA with LEGO.
Plus, Minibeasts in the East (M.I.T.E) will be on hand with their microbeast robots. You’ll meet the battlebots that compete in combat competitions and even have a go at controlling a battlebot in the arena! There’ll also be lawn games to enjoy outside, in front of the café.
No need to book, drop-in from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. Find the activities upstairs, in the Sandys-Winsch room above the café.
Suitable for families with children aged 12 and under.
