We Fought at Gettysburg: Author Talk & Program with Caroloyn Ivanoff

Come join the at for an exciting event featuring a talk by renowned author, Carolyn Ivanoff. Learn about the soldiers of the 17th Connecticut, the Fairfield County Regiment, through the Gettysburg campaign in June and July 1863. This was a pivotal moment in American history. They describe what they saw, thought, and felt on the battlefield. These are the words of those who lived through the trauma of combat and survived to write about it. Reserve your spot now!

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by the author. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.

About Carolyn Ivanoff

Carolyn Ivanoff is a retired high school administrator, author, and independent historian specializing in 19th-century American history, with a focus on the Civil War and Connecticut’s historical legacy. Named the American Battlefield Trust’s Teacher of the Year in 2003, she has received multiple Awards of Merit from the Connecticut League of History Organizations for her educational and preservation work, including the 2018 rededication of the 17th Connecticut Flagpole at Gettysburg.
