Mark your calendars! "The Return" will kick off the July 4th holiday by bringing their tasty mix of progressive classic American and British rock to Norwalk, Ohio on Wednesday July 2, 6:00-8:00! With this show, The Return is honored to be among the first acts to perform at Norwalk's new amphitheater located at the Norwalk Reservoir's Veterans Memorial Lake Park.
This will a very special show for two of The Return's members, Larry Cesare and Ed Gerken, who not only grew up in Norwalk (“Go Truckers!”), but also kickstarted their musical career way, way back on July 4, 1966 playing in front of the Huron County Fairgrounds Grandstand with Norwalk's first rock band called "Us" (which grew into "The Silver String Band"). For Larry and Ed, this will be a "Coming Home" anniversary event!
Even better, The Return's Larry, Ed, and drummer, Jerry Scale, are now joined by two other members with very impressive musical resumes:
* Dean Kastran (bass/vocals), an original founding member of Mansfield, Ohio's gold record 60s band, "The Ohio Express", and current member of the multi-hit record band, "The Cyrkle", that toured with The Beatles in 1966.
* Tony Burlingame (guitar/bass/vocals), a multi-talented Columbus-based musician who plays the lead role of Sir Paul McCartney in the nationally touring band, ”The McCartney Project” and is a member of the acclaimed internationally performing band, "The British Invasion”.
So bring your lawn chairs and blankets out to Norwalk's Veterans Memorial Lake Park amphitheater, and get ready to sing along, dance, and party with The Return's live performance of some of the coolest tunes of the 60s, 70s and 80s!
It'll be a homecoming happening!
