soft spot is a trio of gazey/grungy rockers from Stamford, Connecticut.
Formed by guitarist/vocalist Gianni Carpanzano, bassist Dave Eisermann, and drummer Marc Marenco, the group has become known for its eruptive, dream-like sound, drawing comparisons to bands such as Hum and Alice in Chains.
Over the last few years, soft spot has captivated fans throughout its home state of Connecticut and the Northeast, taking over stages such as Stamford’s Palace Theatre and Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds. In 2024, the trio embarked on its first official tour, making its way around the East Coast with fellow Connecticut grunge band whitewood drive.
With a mission to make listeners cry, soft spot is set to release its aptly named, highly anticipated debut album "This Will Make You Cry" on June 13. A project four years in the making, the album will include the popular singles “Hey Now,” “Use Me,” “Loose,” “Screw It,” “Down,” and “Soulgaze,” with which the band has already begun to gain traction among fans around the U.S., Europe, and South America.
soft spot will soon embark on its This Will Make You Cry tour, which will consist of 12 dates and bring the trio to audiences throughout the East Coast and Midwest, making stops in major cities such as Philadelphia, Chicago, and Detroit.
As 2025 moves ahead, soft spot will continue to solidify its presence in the independent music scene, sure to provoke tears from listeners from all corners of the globe.
