About the event

Farm Field Day: Whole-Farm Conservation at AlterNative Grounds
Join us for a wonderful tour of an amazing property with an amazing farmer! Joey Esterline, Sparta Farmers Market founder and vendor, will guide us to see some of the many conservation projects she and her partner Scott Giraud have implemented over a lifetime of land stewardship at AlterNative Grounds. From vegetable fields to restored prairies, and stream bank enhancement to woods management, Joey has truly done it all.

This event is co-sponsored by Michael Fields Agricultural Institute and Renewing the Countryside, with generous support from the Women's Fund of Greater LaCrosse.

Event is free to attend but registration is required and space is limited. Lunch will be prepared by Donna Justin of Justin Trails Resort! Lunch includes a seasonal soup, salad, and sandwich with a yummy sweet treat inspired by seasonally available ingredients.
