Back by popular request, this is Soup On The Go's Autumn 2025 event and we're returning for another community dragons-den style fundraising evening over a sociable bowl of soup.
SoupOnTheGo provides individuals, community groups, charities and local causes with an opportunity to receive funding for community causes and start-up projects.
Please book to attend or pitch in support of the wonderful projects in our community and enjoy a fresh bowl of homemade soup by The Hart of Hartford.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
- People with great, early-stage ideas (community projects and grassroot start-ups) that will provide lasting benefit to our community submit applications via this site.
- Several groups are selected to present their ideas in a pitch of up to 10 minutes during our evening event.
- Attendees donate on the door £10 per adult and £5 per child in return for receiving a bowl of soup and a roll and a vote on the evening.
- After the presentations, attendees vote, and all of the votes are counted. The project pitch/pitches with the most votes win the cash.

WHAT FUNDS THE PRIZE AND WHAT OTHER BENEFITS EXIST FOR PITCHERS?
Attendee entrance donations on the night plus income from private donations and sponsorship will go directly to the pitcher with the most votes. Your money goes directly to supporting an amazing community project or social enterprise!
Beyond the cash prize for the winning project, each presenter still benefits from:
* Experience of pitching their idea.
* Networking with other community-minded people, associations and groups.
* Collaborative and co-production opportunities.

BOOKING INFO:
Pitchers:
We invite local community groups, charities, good causes and new start community projects (with a heart) to apply to pitch their project in a 5-10 minute presentation to our audience of local people. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive cash funds which can impact your project immediately. Applications to pitch are required in advance so that they can be shortlisted. Please make sure you select the “Pitcher Registration' ticket type in order to apply and complete the questions before the deadline of 10 October. We will accommodate as many pitchers as we can fit in time-wise and be in contact to confirm your place. Those who are unsuccessful on this occasion will be allowed to apply to present at the next event in the same geographical area. If you have pitched before but not been successful in securing funding, you may enter again but we may give priority to new organisations.
Attendees:
To attend this event to support and vote for a local cause, please make sure you select the 'Attendee Registration' ticket type. Your ticket includes a delicious bowl of soup, bread roll and a vote. Further purchases of tea, coffee and cakes can be made from the venue.
