To start our series of meetings for the year, we are kicking off with a special talk featuring Stu Wobbe & Josh Groves. With years of combined experience exploring temperate shorelines, collecting specimens, and developing specialized life support systems, Josh and Stu have redefined what’s possible in coldwater marine aquariums. From kelp forests to delicate invertebrates, they’ve mastered the challenges of temperature control, seasonal lighting, and maintaining thriving displays of cooler ocean life.
As co-founders of Coldwater Marine Aquatics and contributors to CORAL Magazine, their work blends scientific curiosity with hands-on expertise — inspiring aquarists to push boundaries and explore the untapped beauty of temperate marine ecosystems.
