NPAC announces auditions for their summer musical, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Based on the beloved children’s book by Roald Dahl and the 1971 movie, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" starring Gene Wilder, this Broadway musical was released for community theatre performance just last year and NPAC is the first organization in the area to produce it. The show contains both original songs and songs from the movie as it follows the journey of Charlie Bucket from his inner-city shack to the glorious Wonka Chocolate Factory.
Auditions will be held Sunday, May 25 at 7:00pm; Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) at 3:00pm; with callbacks on Wednesday, May 28 at 7:00pm at the NPAC Auditorium complex in Northport Public School, 104 S. Wing St. Auditioners will be asked to perform a cold reading from the script, learn a section from one of the songs in the show, and learn a short, simple dance.
