Step into The Gilded Garden — a creative experience where ink flows, hearts open and busy minds quieten.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the beauty of abstract botanicals using vibrant alcohol inks and luxe embellishments. With expert guidance and space to create intuitively, you’ll uncover the magic of layering, fluid movement, and creative play — all while connecting to the meditative rhythm of making.
No prior experience needed — just your curiosity and love of beauty.
We will use a range of alcohol inks, acrylic markers, paint and gold leaf to create abstract florals on specialist yupo paper. Your artworks will be sealed with professional grade varnish and UV protectant, ready to put into a store bought or professional frame.
Hosted at Artist & Maker studio (49 Toombul Rd, Northgate) – parking on site. BYO drinks and nibbles. I have glassware and serving ware, plus a fridge, ice buckets and microwave.
Choose from creating:
1 x A4 and A3 pieces on yupo paper (specialist paper for alcohol inks)
1 x A4 and approx A1 size yupo paper (56 x 76cm extra thick 350gsm yupo) - will fit into an A1 size frame
Class size limited so don’t miss out
Due to the use of Methylated spirits, this is not recommended for pregnant women or children under 16 years.
