FCK UP Nights is a global movement that celebrates the stories behind the failures.
Born in Mexico City in 2012 over a bottle of mezcal, it began with five friends sharing their biggest professional flops — and discovering how powerful, healing, and hilarious it was to be real about it.
At every FCK UP Night, speakers take the mic to share their biggest professional blunders — a failed startup, a job that imploded, or a bold risk that didn’t go as planned.
The goal?
To break the shame around failure, learn from each other’s mistakes, and create a culture where falling down is just part of rising up.

No stranger to turning pain into power and f*ck ups into fabulous, Clare Elizabeth Dea is a transformational speaker, performance artist, and author with over 25 years of experience in the creative and entrepreneurial world.
She’s inspired audiences around the globe with her raw storytelling, musical comedy, and unique facilitation. Known for keeping it real, helping people feel safe in their vulnerability, and throwing unforgettable events — Clare creates spaces where authenticity, connection, and self-expression take centre stage.
Now, as the host and lead organiser of FCK UP Nights Melbourne, she’s bringing her signature sparkle to a movement she loves — giving creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs a space to share their stories, own their missteps, and proudly say:
