Run to Remember

Join us on May 11 for the "Run to Remember" - a relaxed, non-competitive run (or hike if you danced too much at the UMS ples! 😉) to commemorate the end of WWII in Europe and the liberation of Czechoslovakia. After the run/hike, stay and enjoy a family picnic in the meadows - light refreshments will be provided!

But that's not all:

This event also supports a great cause! In 1945, Czechoslovakia celebrated the end of WWII also with the very first Strážnice International Folklore Festival - now one of the oldest and most prestigious festivals of its kind.

This year, we're proud that the United Moravian Societies’ Omladina Dance Group has been invited to represent Chicago at Strážnice in June 2025 - the first U.S.-based group ever to perform there!
