This is a local Indivisible event, and part of Greater Assabet Indivisible Network’s (GAIN’s) monthly speaker series. Come hear about The Psychology of the Trump Cult with Rev. Steve Wilson on Saturday, September 6th from 4-6pm. In this lecture and discussion, we will explore the mind(s) of those who came to support this Administration, including the psychology of the human brain, strategize ways, and ideally provide simple tools that might be helpful in undoing the conspiratorial thinking that led to this sad place in our nation’s history.
Our speaker has been a Unitarian Universalist Minister for 25 years, and has worked as both a paid employee and unpaid volunteer in various progressive campaigns. Steve was the MC for the No Kings Worcester Rally on June 14th, has worked as a popular educator regarding economic inequality, raised money for environmental groups, and worked with people with cognitive and mental health issues. He holds a Master’s degree from Boston University’s School of Theology, focused on social justice.
This event will be held at the First Parish Unitarian Church, 40 Church Street, in Northborough, MA. Plenty of free parking is available adjacent to the church and in the lot across Howard Street.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
