Scruton - Ramble by Rail

Join us on Saturday 14th June for our “Ramble by Rail” event at Scruton and also a choice of 4 trains between Leeming Bar and Leyburn. Bring the family for a fun Dales day out!!

On Saturday 14th June, we invite you to step off the train at Scruton and into the countryside for a ramble by rail! Join us for a scenic walk around the historic village of Scruton, just one stop away from Leeming Bar.

Our guides will take you on your choice of a 3 or 6-mile route, blending the heritage and nature that Scruton has to offer, and that of course involves our beautifully restored Scruton Station.

Take the 11:05 train from Leeming Bar and the walk will begin at 11:30. Tickets are £10 and includes return travel.

Dogs are welcome on leads! Please bring water and wear appropriate footwear. Refreshments are also available from the Leeming Bar buffet car.

Other trains will also be available to Scruton during the day and we will be operating our dark blue timetable with a choice of 4 trains between Leeming Bar and Leyburn.
