The North Webster Community Public Library will host a Medicare 101 class at 10:30 am on August 28, led by a representative from SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program). This informative session is designed for individuals who are preparing to enroll in Medicare, currently enrolled and seeking clarity, or helping a loved one navigate their options.
Understanding Medicare can be complex, and this presentation aims to break down the basics in a clear and accessible way. The class will cover the different parts of Medicare, including Parts A, B, C, and D as well as supplemental insurance options, enrollment timelines, and common questions and concerns. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussion. Whether you are approaching Medicare eligibility or simply want to better understand your coverage, this class will offer valuable insights in a welcoming and supportive environment.
SHIP is a free, impartial counseling program supported by the Indiana Department of Insurance. SHIP counselors do not sell insurance or promote any specific plans, ensuring that the information provided is neutral, trustworthy, and focused on helping individuals make informed decisions.
The program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested to ensure adequate seating and materials. To reserve your place, please call the library at 574-834-7122.
