Susu Osoji Harai お掃除 (Thorough cleaning)

From December 17 until the beginning of the New Year a thorough cleaning of the home altar and at the Temple is done. The procedure for purifying soot at home is to first clean the Buddhist altar, the kitchen and other rooms. Cleaning tools are made from previously cut bamboo with leaves and straw attached to the ends, and these are used to clean.

We will hold a short service, will be available online. After service we will do a thorough cleaning of the temple and area. Please bring cleaning supplies to use in this event. Let us prepare for the New Year!
