From the creators of Minnesota's first ever R&B Battle, The Lotus Syndicate is excited to announce our first official event--The Movement Scrolls!
What It Is:
The Movement Scrolls is a freestyle-focused workshop series that are taught by freestyle disciplined individuals, but each workshop will have a strong structural itinerary. Each volume of The Movement Scrolls will have different focuses. The Movement Scrolls workshops are to encourage any and all dancers from various disciplines to build on their freestyle and engage in street dance cultures in a way for all to feel comfortable and welcomed to learn.
The focus is for dancers in any community to come together and learn various styles, movements, and vocabulary. Our goal is to continue to enhance dancers in the community by providing a space for them to train and grow in a supportive environment.
The Purpose:
The Movement Scrolls workshop series serve a dual purpose: to help dancers learn and expand their knowledge as well as serve as a fundraising event for The Lotus Syndicate to raise money to continue to host and create workshops, battles, community events, etc. Donations are also accepted!
