Create. Connect. Calm.
Join The Mindfulness Movement at Willow Lane Elementary School for Make & Take: Calming Creations, a cozy and creative 3-week after-school program that blends art, mindfulness, and emotional regulation through fun, fall-themed sensory projects. Open to students in grades 1–5, this class gives kids a chance to slow down, get creative, and take home a calming creation each week.
Each session features a new project that supports relaxation, self-expression, and emotional well-being:
🍂 Week 1: Falling Leaves Sensory Bottles
Capture the movement and color of fall in your own swirling, mindful sensory bottle.
🍎 Week 2: Apple Cinnamon Slime
A cozy, hands-on way to stretch, squish, and unwind with a fall-scented sensory craft.
🎃 Week 3: Painted Flower Pumpkins
Decorate a mini pumpkin with floral designs that promote creativity, calm, and beauty.
Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this enrichment program gives students a peaceful and playful space to create meaningful art while building their social-emotional skills.
