Join us for a guided walk exploring the historic stone walls that weave through North Salem’s landscape. We’ll dive into who built them, how to read their age using lichen, and the fascinating stories they hold. Along the way, we’ll discover how these walls serve as habitat for a variety of wildlife—from chipmunks and snakes to mosses, lichens, and native plants—connecting the past to the natural present. It’s a unique blend of history, nature, and storytelling you won’t want to miss!
Parking is available across the street at the North Salem Middle/High School complex. Please plan to meet in the parking lot in front of the track. If the track parking lot is full, additional parking is available closer to the school building. From there, we will walk across the street together to the event location.
