NR June Town Meeting

Town meeting is a gathering of registered voters that serves as the legislative branch of town government. Town meetings are used to pass budgets, enact laws, and authorize spending. It is crucial that every NR Democrat and Dem-leaning independent try to attend Town Meeting. Town Republicans are very vocal and very effective at pushing their extreme agenda at these meetings. June Town Meeting will be the first where voters will use the town's electronic voting system, which should speed up the voting process and make it less contentious. Ahead of the June Town Meeting, the NRDTC will host information/training sessions for folks who want to better understand how Town Meeting works, especially some of its sometimes confusing procedural aspects.
