Hello all, Just wanna do a quick announcement: June 12th @ approximately 6:30 PM We are going to be hosting a 2 headed Giant EDH tournament. Brackets will be 4/5 so expect high level decks. Entry fee is $25 per team. Rules are as follows:
2-HEADED GIANT EDH TOURNAMENT
Bracket 4 & 5 Power Only
Event Info
- Format: Two-Headed Giant Commander (EDH)
- Teams: 2 players per team
- Life Total: 80 life per team
- Rounds: 75-minute timer. Each team gets 1 extra turn after time.
- Power Level: Brackets 4 and 5 only. Bracket 3 decks allowed but expect powerful opposition.
Brackets Defined:
Bracket 4 - High Power
- Infinite combos allowed but not the only wincon
- Tutors, recursion, fast mana are expected
- Wins typically by Turn 6-8
- Soft stax/value engines are common
Bracket 5 - Competitive/Oppressive
- Fast, consistent combos (Turn 2-5 wins)
- cEDH-level optimization, denial, and locks
- Full stax, combat denial, and hard control welcome
Game Rules:
Turn Order: Starting team does not draw on their first turn.
Commander Damage: 21 from one commander to either player = team loss
Poison: 15 poison counters to either player = team loss
Library Loss: If either player draws from an empty library = team loss
Alt Wins: Opponent completes Maze's End, Liliana's Contract, etc. = your team loses
Combat:
- Players attack/block only with creatures they control
- You may block for your teammate
- Declare targets for each attacker
Extra Turns: Gained or skipped as a team
Deck Etiquette
- Declare your deck's goal and commander at the start of the match
- Play efficiently-loop responsibly, shortcut clearly
- No kingmaking or spite plays-play it out with your teammate
- Respect rules calls-direct questions to TO
- Win with a handshake. Lose with a grin.
Whether you're running a tuned Eldrazi ramp deck or a stacked Tergrid lock, good games make
people want to come back.
