Members of our BGCC will again this year travel to Myrtle Beach in early June to attend the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club Corvette Car Show.
Those that want to drive to Myrtle Beach together, we will depart on Wednesday morning, 04 June, and drive the entire way to Myrtle Beach that day. Thursday, 05 June, will be an open day. Friday, 06 June, will also be an open day, but will include the event banquet that evening. Saturday morning through the afternoon, 07 June, is the MBCC Corvette Car Show at Broadway at the Beach. People are then free to make their own plans to return home. People can visit the MBCC website to register for the event (banquet and car show).
Audrey Gayle Young and Tom McClain have investigated good hotels with reasonable rates during the event. We have selected the Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel, located in Surfside Beach. Bob Dyke with the MBCC has visited the hotel, at our request, and gave it a "thumbs up". There are a number of restaurants in close proximity to this hotel, and within walking distance.
Audrey Gayle has spoken with the hotel management. Hotel information is attached. Our BGCC has a block of 20 rooms reserved until 15 January 2025. Additional rooms can be added to our block based on availability. After 15 January 2025, reservations can still be made, based on availability. The hotel rates are extremely reasonable for oceanfront and in the prime season when compared to other hotels in Myrtle Beach.
Hotel reservations can be secured with the 1st night's room rate and tax, and there is a 7-day cancellation policy.
