Dear Classmates
Happy New Year 2025! I hope this message finds you all well.
Can you believe we have been out of high school for 50 years? That’s half a century since we walked across the stage and embarked on our separate journeys! I don’t know about you, but when I think back to those days (which I often do) it sometimes seems like forever ago, but most times it seems like just last week.
You may or may not be aware, but there is a Greene/North Liberty Alumni Banquet held each year on the first Saturday in June (June 7th this year). Our class will be the honor class this year and it would be great to have the turnout for the North Liberty Class of 1975 the best yet! While this is an “Alumni Banquet”, anyone who attended either Greene or North Liberty is welcome, regardless of whether you are a graduate of either school or not.
To commemorate our momentous occasion, a small group of locals led by our Class President, Jack (OC) O’Connor, is planning a special reunion event the day before the Alumni Banquet (Friday, June 6th) for the class of 1975. We have an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories planned as we tour the school to see how it has changed since “our days”. We will then move to a dinner at the VFW to provide plenty of opportunities to catch up with old friends and classmates to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate in a smaller, more private setting than the Alumni Banquet provides. TIMES FOR THIS ARE TO BE DETERMINED AND WILL BE PROVIDED WITH THE INVITATION THAT WILL BE COMING LATER.
We want to give everyone time to make the necessary plans to be able to attend. Please pass the word to those you have contact with to make sure everyone is aware as the contact information we have is quite aged. If you don’t mind sending me your current address, cell number and email address, that would be great for communication on this event and future get togethers we might have.
Any questions can be directed to either Jack or myself at the information provided below. Also, we need your help! We were unable to find information on Dennis Clark and Charlie Miller. Any information (phone, email, address) anyone can provide on either of these classmates will be greatly appreciated.
Let's make this a weekend to remember and one we can all look back on fondly having had the opportunity to see each other again and with thanks that we were there.
