Join us at Government House for the next in our 2025 Winter Series of Horticultural Lectures.
This year’s programme is once again bringing together keen gardeners and professional horticulturalists to be inspired by presenters delving into a range of fascinating topics.
On Friday 4 July, we will welcome two presenters, starting with Adrian Dickens, who will discuss jewellery inspired by fruit and vegetables through the story of American horticulturalist, philanthropist and heiress Rachel Mellon.
Adrian is a personal jeweller with 40 years’ experience in modern and bespoke, estate, vintage and antique jewellery.
Then, Susannah Fullerton OAM will present 'Vita Sackville-West: Poet, Novelist and Creator of Sissinghurst'.
Susannah is an authority on 19th and 20th century literature and will discuss the beauty and legacy of Sissinghurst Castle's famous gardens, of which she is well acquainted.
The presentations will begin at 10:00 am and will be followed morning tea in the Drawing Room. Doors will open approximately 15 minutes before the presentation begins, and the event will conclude at 12:30 pm.
Parking will be available on site. Please drive through the main gates and follow the directions of staff.
