LIVE at The Republic Bar – A Night of Loudness, Chaos & Vinyl!
Friday Night. Doors at 8pm. FREE ENTRY.
Hold onto your beers, Hobart – it's about to get loud, sweaty, and slightly unhinged.
Kicking off the night are local legends The Purgatory Three – they’ll baptize you in murderous folk riffs!
Next up, Chiroweg! They are a prog/punk/funk original trio from Italy, Australia, Turkey, and Morocco based in Hobart, it's a trip around the world made of really high energy, live improvisation, psych rock and gypsy punk, a menu of songs dedicated to food and international music, that will satisfy your hunger of sounds.
OAF – Hobart’s masters of controlled chaos. They’re noisy in all the right ways, catchy when you least expect it, and guaranteed to make you yell “WHAT WAS THAT?!” – in the best possible way.
Then, slithering down from the north like a rock 'n’ roll freight train where the driver is a loaf of bread, The Murderballs hit the stage all the way from Melbourne. They’re loud. They’re wild. They may or may not have been banned from a bowling alley once. They're also launching their brand new 7-inch vinyl, "Dressed to Grotesque" – it’s sharp, sleazy, and pressed with just enough blood and sweat to make your turntable whimper.
It’s FREE.
It’s LOUD.
It’s your Friday plans now.
Don’t be late – 8pm sharp or you’ll miss the madness.
Republic Bar. Be there or be mildly disappointed forever.
