Rod Serling was unquestionably one of the greatest writers television has ever known. The Twilight Zone is a classic series that paved the way for science fiction stories in the medium to be told as metaphors for current events – a gentle mirror held up to society to point out injustices and missteps, along with suggestions for corrections and paths forward. Serling’s writing resonates today just as loudly as his softly voiced presentation of the stories did in the show’s original network run.
Monsterama can’t let 100 years of Rod Serling pass without a celebration. In 2025, we honor the man and his works with special screenings, panel discussions, guests and colleagues coming together to pay tribute to the father of socially aware SF television. Join us for a weekend FULL of Serling. We’ll talk about the stories, the shows, the comic books, the music, and the man himself – all of the aspects of Rod’s work and life. We’ll share our love of his words, his voice, and his humanity.
Our current list of special guests for Monsterama's Serlingbration is:
* Anne Serling, daughter of Rod Serling and author of "As I Knew Him: My Dad, Rod Serling", board of directors of Rod Serling Memorial Foundation
