BBQ, Blues and Brews on the Bay

It’s going to be finger licking good! Two days of festivities will include delicious BBQ, live entertainment by the Blue Tide Blues Band and Inner Limits, beer sampling and lots of fun! We’re adding a people’s choice component this year as well. Big Moe Cason, Champion Pitmaster and host of National Geographic World of Flavor, will be back for public meet & greets, cookbook signing and more.

The event is a competition BBQ where teams come to compete in the Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned event. There will be more than 25 teams competing for a share of $15,000. There are four KCBS categories: pork, chicken, brisket and pork ribs. The event is judged by certified judges who have taken a course to become a certified judge.

Saturday, May 24: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Sunday, May 25: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

$5 per day entry fee, per person. Ages 5 & under are free. Entry passes are on sale in the Ko-Kwel Gift shop or can be purchased at the event. See less
