Lake Woodruff Wildlife Refuge Hike

We invite you to join us on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to explore Lake Woodruff Wildlife Refuge. Located in Volusia County between Deland and DeLeon Springs, this beautiful Wildlife Refuge offers the finest in viewing our natural habitat in Florida. We’ll be walking along the berm and have a spotting scope to view the resident eagle’s nest. Bring your binoculars, cameras, suntan lotion, and bug spray. We kindly request that the guests you invite be 18 years of age or older. No pets are allowed per the refuge’s rules. There is a high probability that we will see wildlife like otters, birdlife, and alligators, all from a safe distance. Please wear closed-toe shoes. For your safety, please refrain from wearing flip-flops or sandals.
