North Bay Film presents: SUPERBOYS OF MALEGAON 🎥
Join us at the Capitol Centre on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, at 7:30 PM for a one-night-only screening of SUPERBOYS OF MALEGAON, the heartwarming new film from acclaimed director Reema Kagti (Talaash, Made in Heaven) and producer Zoya Akhtar (Gully Boy).
Based on a true story, Superboys of Malegaon follows Nasir Shaikh, a self-taught filmmaker in a small Indian town whose passion for movies leads him to make no-budget, community-driven parodies of Bollywood hits with his friends. Their DIY spirit and love of cinema turn their neighbourhood into an unlikely dream factory.
A breakout hit at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, the film has been praised for its warmth, humour, and celebration of grassroots creativity. Starring Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger), Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora, Superboys of Malegaon is a feel-good tribute to the joy of storytelling and the communities that make it possible.
