Please join us on Friday September 5th, 7:00PM-9:00PM, at our gallery for the final NDN Summer Concert Series performance for 2025! We will be joined by Jess and Eshtakaba LaFromboise, who will lead a traditional hand drum and jingle dress dance demonstration. We are located at 609 Chautauqua Ave in Norman, OK. Admission is FREE.

Jess LaFromboise is a descendent of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma and Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. She is a wife and mother to a 2-year-old son. Jess currently works at one of Oklahoma’s Indian Health Service clinics as a Community Dietitian. She provides nutrition counseling for patients and families, adult group nutrition education, monthly cooking demonstrations, and kids in the kitchen program at local elementary schools. Jess participates in powwows as a jingle dress dancer, and regularly spreads her love of health and wellness through dancing. Jess was the 2016-2017 Ponca Tribal Princess, and continues to share her culture in both her professional and everyday walk of life.”
Eshtakaba LaFromboise is a member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate tribe and is also a descendant of the Absentee Shawnee, Tonawanda Seneca, Sac and Fox, and Prairie Band Pottawatomie tribes. Eshtakaba is a loving husband and father to his firstborn son, Petawasake. He is known for his involvement in Native American rights and cultural events and programs involving youth. He participated in the Standing Rock protest in 2016 and has spoken at various events about his experience growing up in Native American Church. He currently leads the monthly sweat lodge at the First American United Methodist Church in Norman. Eshtakaba is known for his sun dance songs and is always willing to share his culture with the community.
