INK THE BLOCK PARTY Brings Music, Art, and Steamroller Printmaking to Downtown Norman's Walker Arts District

SW of Porter Ave. and Gray St. (behind Opolis The Garage, OSC-Press, etc.)
— [September 20th, 2025] — Norman’s local arts and entertainment community will take center stage at INK THE BLOCK PARTY, a free, family-friendly street festival celebrating creativity in all its forms.
The event will feature an outdoor stage with live music in the back of Opolis with the support from The Depot. Uncanny Arthouse will set up live mural painting stations throughout the parking lot with some stations available for crowd participation. OSC-Press will host an arts-market, and the festival’s feature highlight: Large-scale woodblock printing using a steamroller with support from Silver Star Construction and Firehouse At Center. The Pioneer Library System will join in the fun with a maker space pop-up including laser-cutters and other interactive art-fabrication activities! KT Duffy of the OU Art, Technology and Culture will lead their class in creating a giant art inflatable for the event as well.
Gray Owl Coffee will be set up with treats and specialty drink options to start the day off right. Football fans will be able to enjoy watching the game and grabbing a drink at the Garage, Redbrick Bar and The Bluebonnet. There will be plenty of food options provided by the local restaurants on the block including The Garage, Sooner Daiquiri, Prohibition Lounge, vegan options at The Opolis and dessert from The Custard Factory!
The festival will take place in Downtown Norman’s back lot behind Opolis, and OSC-Press, bringing together musicians, visual artists, vendors, and art lovers from across the region. Sponsorships and community support help make this event possible, directly benefiting local small businesses, musicians, creatives, and arts organizations.
