Join us on Tuesday, August 19, for a morning OR an afternoon tour of the Unity Community Center Demonstration Garden, where you will see and hear about ginger cultivation, summer cover crops use, best practices of vegetable production, and more.
We will discuss the techniques and practices we implement at Unity Garden to produce food for the local community, reduce W**d pressure, increase soil health, and more. We will also discuss ongoing ginger production research happening here.
This program is ideal for intermediate-level gardeners, homesteaders, and backyard growers. There will be time at the end of the tour for questions for Unity Garden Staff and Local Food Systems/Small Farms Educator. This program is free of charge, but registration is required.

Note: Please bring water, hat, sunglasses, etc., if needed, and please wear secure, closed-toed shoes.
In case of inclement weather cancellation, this program will instead take place on Wednesday, September 3, with a morning and early evening session at the same times.
