The first Women's Handgun and Self Defense Fundamentals course has been scheduled for 2025!
This is a 3-part course. We will meet once a month for 3 months.
Class dates are the 3rd Monday of each month, Part 1 is July 21st, Part 2 is August 18th, and Part 3 is September 15th.
Each part will also include one hour of one-on-one live fire instruction for each student, to build and practice handgun safety and proficiency skills, at the range. Range day will be the Sunday following the class date, except the July range day will be August 3rd, with a sign up sheet in class each time to choose your hour.
Due to the number of daylight hours in each range day, and also to keep the group from becoming too large and impersonal, we limit the class size to ten ladies.
We understand that scheduling can be an issue, but we hope to see all ten of those smiling faces in ALL THREE classes for the course. To accomplish this, we're trying something new:
In the past, we have set them up as 3 separate classes, and Part 1 has always sold out (in fact, we almost always have to turn people away!), only to have empty seats in Parts 2 and 3.
Normally each part is $65/person or $195 total.
This year, we are offering a discounted rate of $175 to register for all 3 parts up front.
What You'll Learn:
This course was designed BY a woman, FOR women, but the instructor is a man. I want to make that perfectly clear up front.
Whether you have never touched a firearm in your life and want to start "from the ground up," you've been shooting a few times but have never taken a formal class, you're ready to become your own first responder, or any other reason, this course has been tailored for YOU. There are endless reasons why you may want to take this course, and all of them are meaningful and significant. We welcome women of ANY experience level (including NO previous handgun experience) and ANY background to come learn with us in a safe, professional, and responsible environment.

What We'll Teach
Women's Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals
With three distinct modules, this course is designed for those who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting.
Basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon, while also exploring:
Situational awareness
Common types of handguns
Ammunition types, malfunctions
Firearms handling skills
Defensive pistol fundamentals
The use of deadly force
Whether you’ve never touched a firearm, you’re looking for the next steps in your training, or you’ve chosen to learn about the skills, tools, and mindset needed to use firearms for self-defense, you can be prepared to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.
We must have at least 5 students registered for each module by 7 days out from the class date, or we will need to reschedule.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least one week in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than one week before the class will not be refunded.
