Show description:
A psychological thriller featuring the Manningham couple, whose seemingly tranquil life is shattered by Mr. Manningham's strange behavior. He subtly isolates Bella, who is already on edge, and manipulates her by making her believe she is going insane.
Characters:
Mrs. Manningham (Bella): A gentle and devoted wife who is the victim of her husband's psychological torment. Late 20s-early 40s. Seeking a Black female presenting actor, but all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Mr. Manningham: A handsome and cruel man who manipulates his wife into believing she is going insane. Imposing. Actor needs to have the ability to switch between charming and terrifying. Late 30s-Early 50s. Male presenting. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Inspector Rough: A middle-aged detective who investigates the strange happenings in the Manningham house and ultimately helps Bella. Mid 40s-Early 60s. Male presenting. All ethnicities and genders are encouraged to audition.
Nancy: An impudent and attractive young maid who is complicit with Mr. Manningham. Late teens-mid 20s. Female presenting. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition
Elizabeth: A kind servant of the household who feels pity for Bella. Early 50s-Mid 60s. Seeking a Black female presenting actor, but all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
