Leonard “Len” Diprima, P.G.

Len has 39 years of experience ranging from simple to very complex environmental assessment and remediation of impacted soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water; and permitting and regulatory compliance for private sector, utilities, and government clients. His projects have focused on Brownfield redevelopment, TSCA, State Superfund and Voluntary Programs, and Underground Storage Tank (UST) Programs. He has designed and managed multifaceted projects from initial Phase 1 environmental evaluation through complex remediation where necessary and redevelopment, and community interaction where required. Len routinely works hand in hand with clients, regulators, and environmental legal counsel. Coming out of undergraduate school he worked for Amoco Production Company as an Exploration Geophysicist. He began his environmental career in his last year of graduate school with Georgia Power Company’s Environmental Affairs Remediation Group where he worked for 9 years. He then moved to consulting in 1996 and is an Executive Vice President in the Environmental Services Department at United Consulting in Norcross, Georgia. He has served on the Board of the Georgia Brownfield Association (GBA) for approximately 9 years and currently serves as Secretary on the Executive Committee. Len also serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Georgia Environmental Conference (GEC) and as Topic Coordinator or topic committee member for Brownfields/Land Use for several years. He is a member of the Academic Scholarship Committee for the GBA and GEC.
Len obtained a B.S. and later an M.S. in geology from Emory University with Master’s influence in hydrogeology. “Each day it is important to address your work with excellent and applied science, economically reasonable, and environmentally protective solutions.”
